Gravel Road

Way out in the country, there are gravel roads. It's the safest road with gentle slopes, without sudden turnings and without milestones or signposts - it's like a good friend. It's a connection to life - a tie to the past, the key to sanity in an insane world. It shows the final destination and usually the best way to get there.

Our Gravel Road is a tribute to this lifestyle. This is a German-Style Sticke Altbier with an amber hue, medium carbonation with great balance between strong malt and hops. Relax as you travel down your gravel road. This is your ale - it's sure to please.

Just bought it at World Market in Watauga.
Great beer. That Word Market still has Pecker Wrecker as well.

I am getting ready to drink a Pecker Wrecker and would like more info about it. I can't seem to locate it on your site.
Thanks and keep up the great work.

Any availability in Savannah, GA, or Coastal South Carolina?

You've got my Model A on the label, I gotta try some!

Thanks

I lived in Duesseldorf for a couple of years back in the early 90's (actually watched the wall fall from Fatty's Irish Pub in the Altstadt) and drank gallons of alt bier there. Gravel Road is as close as I've every tasted to a true altbier. Congratulations !

The preferred serving temperature for Gravel Road is 52 degrees? This seems a little warm.

My first taste was one of powerful roasted malt and a nice numbing bitterness. As it goes back it opens and shows a swirl of flavor. I love drinking this beer slowly but there's no way I could drink more than a couple of this rich heavy bodied knocker.

I had this last night at the T&P Tavern since I missed it at Rahr's. It was fantastic! It's definitely a great summer beer, fairly sweet and very drinkable.

Thanks for making the Gravel Road Alt, it is a wonderful Alt, one of the best I have had outside of Germany. When will it be available again? I have had most of your other beers, but the Alt is by far my favorite, keep up the great work. Your friend in Houston, Frank...

This a good ass beer. Strong at first but it just melts away. Not real hoppy, but bold enough to put some hair on ur ass. I went to a tour and beer tasting with my seafood crew from Whole Foods and had a really good time. Props.
